Hiding I think, hardly seen him around lately, but the grapevine suggests hes preparing to leave us for a deployment quite soon. So I'm looking for another target, but tbh if I'm going to be moving north in less than 2 months it doesn't seem worth getting involved with anyone round here in any way shape or form.

I did wonder - things did seem to be quiet.

Whereabouts is "north"? Spotted any possible jobs there?

Nothing yet, a friend who has a pub has said that once I'm moved if I want to get behind the bar she'll be able to make use of me over Christmas and New Year so I'll at least have some money coming in while I look for something decent.

Another very rock'n'roll afternoon of sorting the rubbish the ex left behind has so far yeilded some DVD sales on amazon, so they're already packed and labelled ready for me to take to the PO on Monday. The rest are listed and I've got a list ready to print out and take to work on monday although I won't print it until tomorrow night incase I sell any more online first.

I've also put the album of assorted other stuff on to the facebook pages, and a couple more small things on ebay as I posted the last sales this afternoon.

The clear out has begun.....just need to maintain the motivation now.

Productive times are good. At least you only have to do it once.

Still not particularly happy about it but the small amount of logic I have the capacity for all says its the best option! Of course I've still not told my boss, want to catch her in a good mood this week as it'll make it easier to look for internal vancancies with the same company.

True, at the moment am thinking 4 items gone, 2 more to post and manylots still to deal with. Which now includes deciding which of the DVD racks to get rid of and getting those listed.

My friend has said that if I want to sel the Ikea wardrobe and chest of drawers she'd be interested in them for her spare room, so think I'll be letting her make an offer for them since the ex bought them and I really dislike the ones he bought, plus they don't match the bedside tables and tall narrow drawer set, I reckon I can cope with the idea of a trip to one of the three Ikea's near my parents to buy a new wardrobe and chest of drawers if I need them when I get my own place again next year.

Usually the best options are not painless.

A man bought something, and they don't match?

    There's a shock... ;)

Go on a monday night. It's a lot better then.

Is that IKEA one of those that forces you to go the long way round, or does it have shortcuts?

No the wardrobe and chest of drawers match, but as I don't like them I refused to buy the matching stuff.....and it was my gift cards we were spending on the bedside tables!

Considering this was just before he vanished to Afghanistan for 4 months I figured what the bedroom furniture looked like wouldn't affect him while it would annoy me immensely to have the cheap looking stuff he liked best.

I've no idea been a very long time since I visited any of them, but I seem to remember Warrington has shortcuts albeit not easy ones to find, either way it's going to be a while before I need to worry about it, and am sure I'll be able to order online if I don't feel like braving the shop itself (or my step dad and I fail to coordinate our schedules so I can use his van as the Fiesta is a little small to try to fit most wardrobes in to even flatpacked).

IKEA is very cheap - but it often shows it. I find it funny when I'm looking at house !!!!!!, that 5 million pound houses have the same IKEA lampshades I have. Ones I bought because they were absolutely, eerily cheap.

Yes I know I need "a woman's touch" in my interior design - but I don't have it so

The only thing too small when it comes to "vehicles" and "flatpack" is "imagination":

Of course your fiesta can carry your furniture. It can carry the whole shop...

Agreed and this stuff is the absolute budget stuff, whereas at least the stuff I got feels like it might survive moving again while I'm constantly worried that I'm going to break the front of the drawers when I'm opening and closing them - thankfully the wardrobe isn't in use as anything other than a storage area of clothes I need to iron - and the doors are propped against the wall rather than fixed to the body of the wardrobe.

I think the only thing I really like about Ikea is that the range almost never changes so you know you can buy something one year and go back and get matching stuff years later, the general nicknack type stuff can be ok or can be utter rubbish, although I loved the kids under the sea range they had a few years ago (still have the fish rugs and seahorse and starfish lights at Dad's).

Hmm I like my car, and I like not being pulled over on the motorway for doing daft stuff any more often than absolutely necessary....

And on that note I need to find my credit card and head out to do a nice tasty junk food mystery shop and put some more gogo juice in to said Fiesta.
