move out and get a flat with your partner. This 'friendship' has run its course.
Then,unless your partner is a student as well, you can quite easily tell them to pay the council tax on their own as you're a student and they should be grateful that you're giving them a 25% discount.2014 Target;

In your shoes, I think I'd move out.
Your friend might be resentful that your partner has moved in, he/she might feel their own space has been invaded and that things aren't equal anymore.
Perhaps sitting down and discussing all this calmy and concisely would be the first step, if that doesn't improve things, then seriously consider moving out.
And if your partner has moved in, they should be paying rent regardless of whether their name is on the tenancy of not, there are now 3 of you sharing the space originally intended for two and think how you ight feel if your friend moved their partner in and they didn't pay rent. If your partner was paying rent, maybe you won't need to pay council tax that you shouldn't be paying........0 -

also if your partner is there 'often' why shouldn't you (as in you the couple) pay more?
OK so it doesn't take more electricity to heat / light a room just because there's one more person but I'm assuming hot water is used etc which would increase bills. Are they there when you're not - again this would increase the bills.
If your partner is using your flat as a semi-permenant base then I can understand why your friend is saying you should pay more in rent.
As for things gong missing / not being washed - have you asked your partner?2014 Target;

I would shift more of the financial responsiblities to her, tell her you can't have all the DDs anymore and she has to take one on board(assuming you get elec and internet separately). Would you and your boyfriend happily live their alone? Or find someone to replace her, someone who knows what they are moving into and get it organised from the start. If she's getting violent make sure your boyfriend is there next time you talk to her as that is just not on and you need to be safe just in case.
ETA: tell her she doesn't have to pay phone/internet and get a phone with a pin or put it in your room and change the internet passcode, then tell her she can pay all the council.
Do you have a guarantor? If you don't pay up they will chase your guarantor. I'm probably spelling that wrong but nevermind! Maybe you should also consider finding a place for you and your bf and finding someone to replace you on the tenancy. Obviously you will have to check with your LL if this is okay but I can't see them saying no.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

If your other half has moved in and isn't a student, then you'll lose the 25% single person discount on the council tax, so you'll need consider that as well.
but if they have moved in full time, then regardless of them being on the tenancy agreement; why shouldn't they pay a third? if it was mortgaged then it'd be different as they'd be paying the same but have no claim to the house, but as it's rented then there are three people living there but one is getting a cheaper deal than the other two.0
