  • What date would you go into it though? If it's on xmas day. I was planning on putting £30 a week away but was unsure when to take money out to start getting christmas things?

Hiya Jodie, I would most probs finish mine a week before christmas as would need to spend it for christmas.

So the 7.00 not put in over the 7 days between the day I stop and christmas

I will cover by adding extra over the 358 days.

    LOL does that make sense

I cant afford to put 30.00 a week away.

    Hello :)
I haven't joined you on facebook yet but I will do :)
I have, however, saved my first £2 :) Doesn't sound much but will be nice at Xmas :) My last day will be 16th of December to save £350? (need to check my calculations :) )
    Good luck all :)

I like the idea of a FB group -it's harder to avoid than a thread if you're tempted to fall off the wagon ;)

Wow alot of great ideas from people here I am glad alot of people have already started on this, after next christmas I don't plan on stopping, I will be continuing this every day that I can for the rest of my life, saving not just for xmas but for holidays, birthdays, a car (since now we have 2 children and walk everywhere its a nightmare). I hope all of you can continue on this road to a nice christmas.

Thanks to the people already joining the facebook group, and yes i did decide it was a good idea to start the fb group to help support eachother and its should be more active than a thread :)

good luck all and keep it up
