Will I be accused of being homophobic if I just laugh and say 'I rest my case'? :rotfl:

I bought my OH a onesie, and he doesn't wear it either, in fact I have claimed it as my own they are so warm and comfy. Mind you it was a joke present as his nickname is The Bear (all of his cricket team have nicknames) so I got a monkey one and comverted it in to a bear outfit for him to wear to our annual charity fancy dress cricket match, so he has worn it for that.
OH did buy his secret santa, a cow ice cream scoop that mooed when used. She was not impressed and thought it was a dig at her size as she is overweight. Luckily she never found out it was him, he had never ever meant it that way, he just thought it was a funny gift.
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

I had my first christmas abroad with OH's family and it was the same for my now brother-in-law, too, so we were both in the same boat together. I had son then aged 2 with us and so they wanted to make a big fuss of it all. Both Great Grannies were there, both in their late 80's, both frail but mentally as sharp as tacks. Both properly fulfilled the expectations of a cuddly, sweet Granny. When present time came round they gave each other their gifts - Granny 1 gave Granny 2 a dish brush and Granny 2 gave Granny 1 a scouring pad, they both thanked each other with an evil look and pursed lips and it only became obvious then that they despised each other and were still having a dig at each other after all those years . BIL and I just looked at each other in shock and as I have a habit of doing, I just started laughing ( no one noticed except BIL ) and so did BIL. It became our joke and I am still in shock that two lovely ladies can be so spiteful!

My nan was awful for not appreciating gifts no matter how much thought, time or money went into them. We gave her some nice bed socks as she wears them but next Christmas I got them given back as a gift, being peeved at this sort of ongoing thing I wrapped them and gave them to her the next Christmas. Wish I had counted how many times this went back and fourth....

Love how they have suddenly become Americanised 'onsies', they aren't lol.... they are called Kigurumi's and first appeared in Japan about ten years ago. I bought my first somewhere around 8 years ago.
They are designed for women AND men and are certainly much much better quality than the crappy primark ones. We have a few here, a cat, a skeleton, a giraffe and the new one my DD had for Christmas, a Pikachu Pokemon!

Web site is here, also search Kigu on eBay and you can often get character ones cheaper from Japan than in the UK: http://www.kigu.co.uk/shop.html/

Here is my 14 year old DD on Christmas morning, she LOVED it!!

  • on an other forum i use i was reading that a guy there gave his wife a Dyson hoover for her Christmas and said you will be able to make a decent job cleaning the house now.
An other guy posted up pics of what he got from his family and he was complaining how cheap and nasty it all was and the thermal socks are s**t and he thinks because they were bought from Tesco they are Tesco's own brand there not lol ,,, there the Heat holders made by Sock Shop.

Wander if DD will go to school like that when they go back :D. will save on fancy dress days at school.
