typo meant bank statements0

I was talking about bank statements printed off the net - I no longer receive bank statements in the post.0

texranger, you are in danger of being a flyboy here. I am not doubting you, I am asking for a source. Saying "contact TS" is not a source. That's passing the buck. Saying "Someone told me this" isn't an answer to the questionOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

If returning a faulty item, you need to provide proof of purchase (as stated by the SOGA).
A scanned receipt is a proof of purchase. Nowhere on the TS website does it mention anything regarding scanned receipts not being a valid proof of purchase.0 -

a scanned receipt IS NOT proof of purchase as this can be doctored. i will now be telling TS that MSE members know the law more than them and that they are too frightened to call TS as they will be proven WRONG0 -

The SOGA states you need to provide proof of purchase. If a printed out bank statement can be accepted as proof of purchase then I cant see why a scanned till receipt cant.
Personally:
Scanned till receipt : Refund : Not accepted
Scanned till receipt : Faulty exchange: Acceptable
Why do you keep using the "your frightened to phone TS" argument? Im scared of muggers and murderes that hide in alleyways, not TS.
Anyway, cant find anything on the consumer direct website of TS website relating to scanned receipts. They just state "proof of purchase". A printed bank statement can be doctored as well.0
