Advice For New Blackberry PAYG Owner Please?
Hi there
I received a new unlocked Blackberry Curve for Christmas and am currently looking into the best provider for my needs. If anyone could offer any advice I'd be really grateful as I've only previously used old nokia phones!
I am currently on Orange Dolphin, topping up £10 per month and receiving 100mb and 400 texts per month. I understand I need a Blackberry bolt on which costs about £5 per month??
I have chatted online with both O2 and Orange today about what they can offer and Orange wasn't particularly helpful. O2 offered their blackberry tariff for £15 top up per month including 500 texts and 500mb per month, with £15 used as phone credit which sounds promising but I would need to get my phone number moved to them. After much cajoling, Orange actually spoke to me (rather than sending me a link to their PAYG page!) and said for £10 per month, i could use £5 of my credit to buy the blackberry add on including 500mb and my usual 400 texts and 100mb would be added on. The remaining £5 credit would be used for calls I assume?
Would either of these be suitable? I don't want to find that i'm lacking in call funds or missing something! How does wifi work - would it be chargeable?
Any tips would be gratefully appreciated :-) Thanks in advance!

As far as i know, you only need the Blackberry add on if you want to use BBM or any of the other Blackberry Internet Services. I have a Blackberry on a sim only Orange contract, i pay £10 a month for 300 mobile to mobile minutes and unlimited texts. I'm not interested in BBM as i'm not a teenager and can send texts.0
