Ive never used the grocery challenge before but in February's pay i want to only spend £10 on food and use up my store cupboard. My February money technically starts from 25th January - 25th February so i wondered do i post on here or wait for February to be started up?
TIA

Then to bakers for a sarnie for lunch (just had to get of work at lunchtime -place was driving me mad,I did take tin of soup but was not in the mood for it after morning I had) ,loaf of bread and reduced mince pies for me & colleagues as a afternoon treat. Cost £4.52. it's been ages since I went and bought lunch and had forgotton how much sarnies were - it was nice don't get me wrong but charging an extra 34p for "salad"? not even full leaf of lettuce,2 slices tom,2 skinny slices of onion -pah.

I hope noone minds, I've made a 2nd purse spreadsheet for people to download here
Yellow fields are updated automatically as they contain formulae.
I think it's fairly straight forward, the first sheet details what's in your stockpile, the second sheet details the transactions from the second purse. The "out of purse" is where you can take out anything over the suggested £100
I know most people have their own spreadsheets, but putting it down like this really helped me get my head around the idea
Ohhhhhh thank you Kerri, I certainly don't mind. I love the idea of spreadsheets but haven't got around to learning how to do them, well I did once and then forgot! I will definitely download. I am all excited now. Thank you for sharing. :A0 -

Glad to see everyone is doing so well.
I'm just updating my signature, another £1.99 spend today at the garden centre on seed potatoes.
My logic being that although they wont be eaten for several months, I need to record the spend somewhere (dont keep a gardening budget) and anyway I store food in the freezer for several months - so same difference.
Have a good evening.Jan - June Grocery spends = £531.61
July - Grocery spends = £119.54
Aug - Grocery spends = £20.630 -
Hi all, only spent a lowly 87p on a loaf of bread again totally ruining an nsd. DH is looking for trouble if he keeps this up.:rotfl:
Many hugs to all in need.
