took my dd to her singing lesson tonight and came a different way home due to roadworks. Found a coop and decided to have a quick browse: 10 cinnammon swirls @ 10p each, 4 white rolls 30p, 2 packs lof 4 large choc chip muffins at 30p each. Total spend £2.10:j
They were also reducing pre packed sandwiches to 50p a pack but I wasn't sure wether I could freeze them or not? If I can then I may pop in again at same time next week to see if they have any again.
Am getting addicted to picking up bargains but my freezer is bursting so will have to rearrange it all at the weekendSealed Pot Challenge 2011 / no. 1205 £110 made]Sealed Pot Challenge 2012/no 1205 target £300Jan g/c 355.83/£450

More spends as I really need to do a big shop and we keep running out of things:o but I keep putting it off. OH spent about £2 in A*di on bananas, paracetemol and milk. He also spent £3ish in Asd* on orange juice, GF bread, whoospied bacon. I nipped into Mr S on way home from work to buy lazy gravy:p and also bought GF yorkies for tea and a pack of 10p xmas choccies so spent £3.43.
Tonight we had roast turkey, greens, baked pots, yorkies and gravy. The turkey and greens were whoopsies from last night so a fairly cheapie meal and we have LO meat for a sarnie tomorrow.
Not sure what we'll have tomorrow. Toast for brekkie, cup a soup and sarnie for lunch, then a big pot of lentil soup in SC for dinner. Sounds like a plan:TGrocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

NSD for me - delivery came today, quite impressed with this online shopping lark. Didnt have the chicken in that I ordered so it was substituted for a pack that was almost double the size for the original price.
Also, made my first ever Hm bread today, turned out a bit like a garlic ciabatta, cost less than 40p (altho I did have herbs and garlic in already). Made a cheap pasta bake (so much nicer than a jar one). Worked out total cost of meal under £3.00 for 5 of us and still half left to freeze.GC 2012 - £192.84/£200

Hi Everyone
£11.87 spend to report today and a NSD for yesterday. Not really sure how im going to do this month as budget has been greatly reduced as were basically skint. At least the freezers full though. There was a small spend in M & S on the way work for milk and bananas, Sainbugs for Pack up stuff for the kids and toothpastes in boots, spent just over £6.00 in boots on 4 colgates, and a kids mild mint toothpaste and mouthwash and got over £5.00 worth of points so was quite chuffed. Hate buying thigs like toothpastes for some reason but now at least were stocked up. Might pick up some more reduced fat cheese from the co op tommorrow as I think the offer runs out tomorrow.March 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000 -

Hi I'm new to this thread & have read through but I'm still confused so any suggestions/help very welcome. I basically spend £100 A week on everything, plus a takeaway & it's just ridiculous now, the are 2 adults, a 10 yr old, a 4 yr old & the cat. The kids rarely eat the same as us so end up cooking even more. I don't tend to waste much in that it doesn't get thrown out but surely I can reduce this. I've chatted to mr moomi about this & he agrees. I just don't know quite where to start! I can see a few of you meal plan, do you have exAples I could see? Also bulk buying, should I do this straight away for stuff like washing powder, dishwasher tablets, cat food etc? Thanks everyoneMortgage Balance May 25- £9975. Planning to be paid off by Dec 25🎄0

Had a very busy, stressful day at work today. Apart from cereal at breakfast I managed the time for 4 bites of sandwich and that was it all day. This meant that I was persuaded by DH to order a Chinese for tea. It was minging as usual, I don't know why I don't let him order one for himself and I have something else from the freezer.
This has left me with 24p to last the next 10 days when, without the chinese, I could have probably come under budget for the first time ever:( I should only need fruit, milk, bread and cheese as well as beer for DH this weekend before pay day on the 20th.
I must not think 'what the hell' as I am going to go over and just spend. I want to come in as close to budget as possible as my non christmas week weekly spends are getting lower.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%
