i have been looking at giffgaff ( but i dont know anyone on that )
tesco deal seems good 500 mins and 5000 text
or 02 where you get free calls tp other 02 people
i dont use the internet at all but do text more than make calls

This depends on how many calls you need actually.
Unlimited texts with 100 minutes are available at chitter-chatter (t-mobile) for £6. It's 1 month rolling contract, not PAYG.

On payg,giffgaff would be your best bet(250 mins/unlimited texts & internet for £10 per month).
If you are prepared to go on contract,you could get more minutes for your money.

Contract you can look towards 3 and Tmobile and Tesco who all doing Unlimited Texts at least 500mb net and at leat 300 mins

Payg look towards Giffgaff 250 mins unlimited text and web (non tethering).

Thank you for your replys is anyone on 02 unlimited its £15 a month but you get free calls and texts to 02 need to find out what network my friend are on first

Might be worth having a look at Vodafone's 12-month contracts as there are better cashback deals with Quidco. A couple of examples:

300mins + 3000 texts = £6.33/mo (normally £10.50/mo)
900mins + 3000 texts + 250MB = £12.17/mo (normally £20.50)
