Pests in M&S who hassle you for their Morecard

I usually tell them I already have one thanks and it usually gets rid of them fairly quick as they won't get anything else out of you

If you have time, ask them to go through all the lingo. Then ask what it is they are giving to you. When they say "store card" say "Oooooh! Silly me - I thought you meant score card for the local darts / dominoes / bingo team"
If you don't have time, just do what I do and completely ignore them. I done this once and the guy came chasing after me. Afetr a loud putting down, he walked off cursing but a manager was present. didn't see him again!Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0 -
I work part time during the weekend for Marks and Spencers.
Each store will have a target to sign so many customers up for a card each week or day. Staff are told they MUST offer each customer a &more m&s card at the checkout points.
Alot of pressure is put on staff to get people to sign up for the card - If customers dont sign up then the store does not meet the target = angry marks and spencers manager.
You should NOT have been stalked you in the shop asking you to sign up. That is out of order. The member of staff who pressured you to sign up should not reflect the service M&S provides to customers. I am sure we are in the top 5 best retailers In Which Magazine.
I have a &more marks and spencers card myself. The card is excellent - especially the &more vouchers you get through the post, such as 10 x points on 'clothing' etc.0 -
I have a plan for these types, i keep asking them questions like - Do you have a hamster? What is your dog's middle name?
Then I follow them around when they try to get a way, shouting "It's just a few simple questions, sir!"
Maybe that's why i have 76 restraining orders from M&S LoL :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I emailed them and got loads of apologies but no vouchers - can't value me that much.
I was going to spend a fortune in there on tarting up my house for selling.

I wish shops would realise that people generally don't want to be sold these things when they are just in to browse the shop. But they don't - they put pressure on their staff to meet targets, forcing them to try harder with customers, causing annoyance and upset. Voting with your feet isn't a bad idea. Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0

Yes, which is why companies don't always take complaints seriously as they reckon many of them are people at it.Not buying unnecessary toiletries 2024 26/53 UU, 25 IN0 -
I am NOT after vouchers but it would help sweeten things. It was a traumatic experience for me but I guess you have hearts of stone:(
I complained about bad service I got 10 years ago in a concession shoe shop in a department store, expecting nothing to be done about it, and got a lovely bunch of flowers out of the blue from the store manager:)
But you have made up your minds I am a grabber haven't youAn average day in my life:hello: :mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T

I am going thro a lot of stress at the moment and my body language was one of minding my own business browsing and not giving eye contact to anyone.pinkfluffybabe wrote:I wish shops would realise that people generally don't want to be sold these things when they are just in to browse the shop. I expect store staff and sales people to respect my rights to being left alone should I wish to be.
I have worked with the public, been trained in retailing and sales, and I would NEVER cross a potential customer or one that is in store.
