Pests in M&S who hassle you for their Morecard

This man came up to me in M&S asking if I wanted a Morecard, I said 'no thank you' but he lingered around me whilst I was shopping. I said, please go away. He obviously wanted to make me feel uncomfortable because I said no thank you. He was smug and sneery. He said he wanted to sort it out. I said, go away and he really wound me up by adopting a really 'male' I will be a jerk stance. I ended up reporting him to CS and wrote to M&S who just sent a we will deal with it letter. No vouchers

I hate people standing by me when I shop. I was minding my own business and don't need jerks being tw*ts to me when I'm shopping.

They are a pest in M&S when you want to shop. I know they have a job but I'm actually put off going in there now, as I hate people coming up to me and interrupting my thoughts when I shop and tend to not give eye contact unless I need them. Usually I am tired and have a million things on my mind.

Waste their time. Ask questions. sign up. Wish you could be there when their boss sees an application from Daffy Duck, Toytown.

Ask them to read the complete terms and conditions, several times, then say "No thanks" :D

Go through the form with them and then tell them at the end that you're a bankrupt.

You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)
  • You should have added in your letter that if it was to happen again you'd scream at him in front of everyone in the store and ensure everyone around you knew how he wouldn't take no for an answer. Simple threats like that are more likely to get you vouchers if they think others are going to be influenced by you.

If you wanted to complain you should have done it to the manager of the actual store. Not that would do much more good but it's got more chance of the guy being scared than some letter. You could of course just made some extra stuff up to get the guy into trouble as that would keep him away in the future :)

Overall though, I think they don't care as they know the money they can make and save by getting people to sign up in store. So will continue to hassle it's customers. Especially since the staff will be on some incentive scheme to get names and addresses.

You don't say that he was saying anything to you when he was near you, why didn't you just ignore him?

This man was mentally unhinged - he would have gone insane if I had done that.

    He scared me

These sort of jerks hang around everywhere these days. Sainsburys is the worst for phone/utility botherers. You're the customer, complain and vote with your feet.
I wonder why it is, that young men are always cautioned against bad girls. Anyone can handle a bad girl. It's the good girls men should be warned against.-David Niven

I agree about Sainsburys, they always want to sign me up for everything. I think the latest was phones? I usually say no thank you quite politely but then they sort of follow you round asking questions about how much you pay, or who you are currently with. I have found a way of getting at them though, I have a bug bear that their free from shelves carry a mix of products and don't separate out the GF stuff so it is confusing. I merely take them there and have a moan...and they keep saying they are a different company but I act a bit unhinged and they can't run away fast enough!
