on friday..... i spent £55. in the butchers.....
i bought a whole silverside..... which one of my butcher's deals if you buy a whole silverside its only £1.99 lb....
he cut it up into joints for me...so i have some big joints for the weekend and some smaller ones for mid-week dinners..... i had 9 joints all together... which i thought was brill.. those9 joints cost £43. he asked me if i wanted welsh beef or aberdeen angus...so i opted for the aberdeen angus... we had one of the joints for sunday...... it was absolutely stunning........
also had chutney...... chicken breasts.....bones for the dog and some veg as well...
the joint i cooked at the weekend would have easily cost £10 - £12 in mr t..... and would not have been half as nice.......
i am now on the look out for ground almonds......as i want to try some new recipes out....any ideas..... where i can get it from .....?
competitionscafe.......could be a eurovision.....entry......:rolleyes:Work to live= not live to work0 -

This made me laugh. I went to town on Saturday and was caught short - the only place I could think of to go was Ts - I did feel a bit of a traitor!Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
lol.i didn't stop there in the end, but i did stop at a garage for petrol and the loo, and to my shame it was somerfield.....and i bought a bottle of orange juice....
i was thirsty and needed a boost and there wasn't really anywhere else to go!

I am struggling a bit too - my babes love Yeo Valley yoghurts (the children's versions) and the only place i know that sells them is....!!! Typical! I don't like getting the other yog's as they are so full of sugar. Any one got any suggestions? I have seen the soya ones in the health food shop, but don't know if they are suitable?Buy nothing for a month challenge - Oct

You might be able to order Yeo Valley stuff through an organic delivery scheme. Or try a health food shop0

You have all been such an inspiration. I'm not ready to cut out the supermarket just yet as there are certain things like Tesco nappies etc that I need (DD only needs them at night but much better than any others). Thanks to you guys though I am shopping at local shops more, and thinking about what I am buying. Have cut out buying fruit or meat from the supermarkets altogether and am actually enjoying shopping - even going the the supermarket isn't the chore it once was!0
