Well, I have looked on the LG website, and it seems that you can only connect to an extenal sound system with a digital optical connection - that your Gaming Chair won't have !

same problem here. There is a headphone socket on my son's Samsung however, he's not happy that the speakers on his TV don't work simutaineously.

Tried the scart socket, but as this is IN rather than OUT this is not an option either. Even tried the AV on his xbox, but due to the hdmi socket being in close proximety that's a none starter as well.
  • We have one! We run the red and white wires from the xbox to the gaming chair then leave the yellow wire (picture) plugged into tv hth

  • I have just tried to connect both my sons X Rockers to an LG TV and whereas before with a Sony, I could connect the wireless adaptor to the audio output (red and white), it does not work on the LG TV, however, connecting it through the headphone socket (on the back but not with the HDMI, audio and other main holes), it has worked.

The digital optical is the small square hole with the red light coming out of it, on the back of the TV near the other connections.

I don't specifically know of any converters, but it makes sense what they are saying. If that is the only audio output on the (LG) TV then that is your only real option to feed the audio to the gaming chair.

Not sure how much a converter would cost, but you might want to think about returning the chair as not useable and getting something else instead ...

EDIT: just did a quick search and the converters are about £40 a go ...
