Junior ISA Allowance

Options
I can't seem to find a definitive answer on the HMRC site - is the current £3,600 JISA allowance for the period 1 Nov 11 to 5 Apr 12, followed by another £3,600 for 6 Apr 12 to 5 Apr 13 - or is it £3,600 for 1 Nov 11 right through to 5 Apr 13?

I'm pretty certain that it'll be the former.

The Junior ISA allowance is £3,600 in both 2011-12 and 2012-13.

Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place

Thanks for your replies. Generous of HMRC to allow £3,600 allowance for only 5 months so I'll take full advantage of their generosity :-)

I know people who can't be bothered - they say things like 'its only £120 interest a year, the tax on that is only £24 a year so i'm not going to bother'

    amazing isn't it!

It is amazing - and additionally that is year on year compounded and will be a tidy sum away from the taxman 10 years down the line!
