    Smoke free 5th day
    Gamble free 6th day

I am actually doing this I can't believe it I am getting there never quit smoking or gambling for this long in years it is a really strange feeling flipping between wanting to smoke and gamble all the time never seem to get peace but I won't crumble. I have downloaded a stop smoking app on my phone and laptop and I love seeing how much I have saved. I have a buddy on a quitting website and to be fair everytime I want to smoke I think of him and letting him down and I don't want to do that so I don't smoke. Still no money waiting for something to be paid in to start.

    Smoke free 6th day
    Gamble free 7th day

A whole week not gambling go me!!!!!!

Posted my ebay stuff off today which for me is an achievement in itself as I always forget then rush there last minutes before I get a complaint lol.

Had a hard day at work mainly due to a tight chest if this keeps up might have to go to A&E and get it checked out as I seriously can't breath and its getting to the point where I am nearly fainting from lack of oxygen (which I am sure isn't good at all), I just want to make sure its nothing more serious than my lungs repairing themselves.

Still nothing on the money/debt front yet well apart from hardly spent anything all week and I am still absolutely skint until Tuesday.

Well off to judo I go (not for me for dd to do) else I think I might have a heart attack. I will get back into it just not yet

  • You're not alone Deep In, I have suffered from depression, and at times I have gambled or shopped to distract myself and ended up feeling worse. You can succeed though and get through this, I will be following your diary to see how you get on.

    Good Luck xx

Thank you Purple sunshine feels good knowing there are other people like me sounds weird but sometimes you feel like your the only one.

Stopped counting the days now going to just get there and do this. I get paid tomorrow which is going to be good and bad as I couldn't gamble due to lack of funds and this is the first time I will have some money in the bank. Kind of scared and looking forward to it at the same time. Mum has my cards so I can't fail not now I have put all measures in place.

Need the following to be paid tomorrow:
    • Food - £30
    • Petrol - £25
    • Smoking Patches - £15
    • TV Licence - £5.60

Leaving me £69 in the bank I think I need to do a list before each payment goes in then I might stay on track.

A bad day today been told that there are 40 odd redundancies planned and now it is a waiting game feel like there is a great big cloud hanging over my head. I know I shouldn't be moaning as it hasn't happened yet and I do have a job but I am scared stiff lets hope it will be OK.

Less doom and gloom I have paid my child care off today so that is now £0 a little at a time and I will get there :D decided to start planning now as I know I am going to be in work for the next 90 days so need to start saving every penny. I won't get redundancy as I haven't been there long enough.

Well been busy busy and not had a chance to come on but I have tried to make sure I am saving as much as possible now, made some banana muffins today (loving the muffin maker):D.

Tried to stop worrying now and concentrate on the here and now, was talking to a friend today and she made me realise something that really I should stop being so hard on myself she said really I have two full time jobs and that's hard work which I guess I do with work and home lol so I am going to try a more positive outlook approach.

I have applied for some jobs on the off chance I go but according to my manager I am in a good position so hoping he's right but will know in the next 90 days.

Ebay has been done again for the month listed a load of stuff today and hoping it sells I will run out soon though at this rate. Here's to the new positive me :T

Hi deep in, congratulations on your progress so far and fingers crossed you get to keep your job. How's the non-smoking/non-gambling going? I imagine it's expecially difficult when you're stressed about possible job loss, but of course it's even more important that you succeed now because they're both expensive habits! Good luck x
