That is good new then Mum2one, very nice of your Mum to help you out, good luck with the boot fairs then too. I am doing my craft stall this Saturday as thought I had to cancel as couldn't get a lift but my bro said he will take me and my niece rang last night to say she will take me home after so all sorted. Not expecting to sell much but will be good advertising with Christmas coming up. As long as I make the stall money.
  • Disney was great thanks, Mum2one. Great news on the money from your mum.

Mary - just remember that doing anything this early is brill - the amount of people who still wait until the last minute....argh. lol

Rufus - good luck tomorrow with the craft fair!

We have Miss Hoodie home and safe from her school trip, thou had some upset, she found a poorly bird by the fence, - little sparrow broke its leg, she named it caramel, tried to feed it soaked bread, too weak, put it in a box, and bless it, passed away, so we've buried him in the garden, bless her heart.

Off to get KFC for tea, xx

    Hello all :j
Well little sewing machine arrived............it'll have to go back. I can't see to thread it up its so small and my eyes aren't good enough so its back to the sewing by hand.
OH put the heating on yesterday and it zoomed up to the hottest I've known it and wouldn't go off, well not at the thermostat anyway. So we'll either be sweltered or freezing till plumber comes back from his holidays ! Aint there always something.
E mail is playing up so Internet cuts out if I try and read a message ! So folk have to get me through facebook or phone.
On plus side I covered another shoe box today and double checked I'd made enouth christmas cards -I had...........tick box for that :)

Clare - I'm normally so much better than this. Having anxiety and stress probs hasn't helped me get my head round it all but I will........and if I dont well folk will get a cheque with their card............lol

    Hope you're all ok:)
I would be unstoppable if only I could get started !

Shame about the little sewing machine Mary, I know what you mean about being able to see to thread them. My normal machine has its own needle threader, I didnt bother using it when I first got it but its a godsend now and dread what would happen if it broke.

Had a good day at the craft fair today, made a bit more money which came in handy as had another fabric deliver today. Going to make my mate a bag for Christmas.

Took Miss Hoodie to a micklamass fair, there was 6 stalls there, but we brought 5 bags of dried fruit, flowers and herbs mix, 10p a bag and a quart of fabric, £1, so were going to have a go at making some little wardroe freshners, it was nice as the fair was held at national trust property, so we had a little wonder, then into the town, - got some ribbon for 25p.
Lunch in pub, then Miss Hoodie in sweet shop - £4.55 for a bowl of pick and mix!! from the market, but it was a treat.

Most weird thing happened when we got home, just out of nowhere a red admiral butterfly came to her sat on her arm then flew up and down her and around her and disappeared into mid air as quick as it came. So she was happy as she thinks Caramel (birdie from yesterday) sent the butterfly to tell her she was ok in heaven. Odd same as the one at the crem, but its stopped the tears over caramel, so happy.

I make my debut tomorrow as a chat host - entered a competation got to last 10, we each host a bingo game - mine 4pm (Rogers Bingo), - game called Carry on Bingoing - for getting through to the last 10 I get £50 free bingo money, people then vote for best host, 1st price £400 cash, 2nd £100 cash, - that would be nice!! xx

Good luck with the bingoing Mum2one, sounds like you had a good find with the smelly stuff. I would love to find some of that going cheap down my way as I would like to make some smelly hanging things. Have loads of scraps laying about.

Craft fair went well yesterday, seeing as I wasn't expecting to make the stall money, came home with a bit of a profit (not counting the fabric bought and hours making it all lol). Still, I have ordered some more fabrics, some to make presents out of and will use whats left over to put some more stuff on the shop.
  • Afternoon all,

Good luck with the bingo mum2one!

Had a cheeky homemade milkshake his afternoon. While DD had a banana one, and DH had a chocolate one, I popped in a glug of Baileys! Yum!

Getting the crafty bug again so going to look at what I could make.

Found some Christmas cards I bought cheap last year - better make this years list and see if I have enough!

    Hope you're all good'

I think I have enough cards, cant be bothered to find them though just yet but going to try to cut down with the cost of the stamps this year.

I made a start on the two cushions for the great nieces, will try to do a bit more on them tomorrow.

the car boot v quiet, - made £5 after paying the table, but you have gd weeks and bad weeks!

Bingo was a farce - they didn't give me the email with instructions, so waiting like a plonker, - had Miss Hoodie waiting, as I had tummy bug this afternoon, but when did get on people moaning about the questions, I had done carry on quizzing, but not knowing age groups gave 2 answers - then the next person was promoting their game so doubt win, def won't enter anything from them. play the free money.

Christmas cards - we still have the box of 400 floating around somewhere in the loft!

We're be delievering our 1st xmas prezzie next weekend, - safe and sound waiting to be wrapped, xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
