Thanks Mum2one for the reminder of the flu jabs, I don't have to have one but usually do get it done, was glad I did last year as OH went down with the flu and was quite ill and I didn't catch it. Sorry to hear about the asthma attack, are they related at all to the allergy thing?
  • HELLO!!!!!

Hope some of you remember me - I haven't been on this thread this year. I've been a little distracted with planning a Disney trip! Came back this week, so I can finally get my head on Christmas!

I hope everyone's well - I haven't read through the thread yet. Big hugs to all, and I'll be more involved again soon!!

  • Just caught up on the last few pages!

mum2one - you're doing amazingly with your lapland fund! Put me to shame! You make sure you take it easy though.

Rufus - those dinos are fantastic!!!!

Pip's Mum - Congratulations!! Not long now!! Wow!

mary - Glad you've managed to get some answers. Hope you and your hubby are still smiling!!

Sugarspun - oh no, I hate noisy neighbours more than anything!

    Big hello to everyone else!

Bit manic at home at the moment - we've got some internal insulation being installed int he front of the house. Some energy firm funded thing - we're getting it for free, along with external insulation at the back of the house (again all for free). So can't complain, but oh...the mess.... Most of the village has had it too. Hopefully will solve our long term condensation mold problem in our downstairs bathroom.

Not done anything crafty this year. Work has been so busy and my evenings have just vanished!! Want to try to get back in to it - hoping maybe after this Christmas. But got some Murder Mysteries to work between now and Christmas which will help with money, especially as we're planning on returning to Disney for DD's 4th Birthday (December 2013). Will be a big trip that one, so we're already saving!

I have a list of who I need to buy for this Christmas. Have also sorted out the logistics of where we'll be, and fortunately we're not doing all the travelling this year (normally we travel between South Wales, London and West Wales!) - think we're staying quite local for all of the Christmas period this year, so that will be great.

First job - need to sort out DD's Birthday/Christmas list - what with her birthday only being a week before Christmas.... argh! lol

I've been asthmatic since birth, but generally its manageable with inhaleurs, think it was my superwoman impression that triggered it off.

1st yr Miss Hoodie has to have her flu jab as shes asthmatic, but now on daily preventer inhaluer, so according to our surgery it tips her over to a flu jab. x

Had some brilliant news (for once), mums already promised me £300 towards lapland, (going to be a godsend), but still short on final figure, shes had an offer on her credit card - 9mths 0% - so she said she'll put lapland on there and pay her back. Worked out roughly that if I didn't do any carboots have it paid back by Feb, but going fro earlier, still going to do my best to pay more off it myself.

Shes knows that money has been tight, but I've kept the full details away from them, i made the mess, am trying to sort it. Means dad doesn't have to do every car boot going, - thou told him til xmas its every other Sunday!!
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
