Given the size of the site, I think the spam problem here is actually fairly small. There aren't that many posts in the first place, and with plenty of members online, even in the small hours, someone will report the junk.

I think last night was a field day for the spambots everywhere. Even with beefed up protection they can still get around the checks, but it might be worth looking in to something to see if there is anything that can be done.

theyre back again today and not one board guide or admin is online to report to so theyre just carrying on spamming, im not reporting anymore, the place is a shambles

edit, relevant board guide is online and the spam is still there while they are reading

New bot operating in the house buying board this morning, it has already taken over the first page and is posting every 30 seconds

It would be good if the team at least acknowledged there was a problem with these spambots and are looking into it, the housing board and new posts search were swamped this morning

53 posts and they have stopped of their own accord, maybe they lost the connection as I dont see any action taken at this end.

Why not restrict new posters to say 20 posts for first few days. Also no PM for same period. Thats assuming its possible to do it with this forum
