Same here.

Except near Christmas one year when the items took about 5 days to arrive. Fortunately I'd ordered them a couple of week before Christmas itself.

Really, if you want something the next day it's better to go to a shop for it.

In reality, how often do you suddenly need something that Amazon sell the next day?

Maybe.

It's hard to imagine why people would repeatedly need books or CD/DVD's the next day, though.

Then again, look at the people who queue up all night for new operating systems, games and phones, just so that they can get them a few hours before others.
