Car Park Solutions Ltd Fine

I feel sick, got a fine today for £75 at the back of a school. It says on board i need to show my permit which I obviously dont have - didnt realise at the time.
Do I pay up or ignore all the letters they will send?

Just ignore. The letters will look scary and will threaten court action and possibly bailiffs and CCJs. This is total claptrap, the charges have no legal validity. I ignore this petty threatmail regularly and nobody has had the guts to take me to court as they know they would lose.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!
  • Thank you, I just needed someone to tell me that!
  • another famous poster - couponmad - will be along in a minute to remind you that this isn't a fine.

(unless car park solutions have just morphed into PC Plod or you local council - and before you scoff: schwarzenegger's enemy did it in terminator 2, so I know it can be done).

If it does not say "traffic management act 2004" on the ticket then ALL are fake parking tickets.
Part of a scam that impersonates and attempts to confuse a fiction with Authority.
Will be backed up with Fake threats of fake court action, with fake increases and fake debt collectors and fake solicitors and possibly even fake telephone calls from fake debt firms, then more fake debt collectors will offer to mop your brow and rescind the fake charges if you pay the first fake parking ticket.
Then they get fed up and look for a new mug.

Been out last minute shopping (daringly leaving the turkey till tomorrow in the hope of a half price one!). But yep, this is not a fine! :D
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

TCP in the car park, not ticketing just marshalling and doing a fine job! Pity they have to spoil it for the rest of the year!

I wish that there was some way that we could stop people calling these invoices "fines".
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.

There is no motorist defence group.
All the existing ones are in the pockets.
It needs a new one and some full page adverts in national papers

Simple, anybody caught using the four letter f word has to pay my invoice for £75 rising to £150 after fourteen days. Subsequent failure to pay will result in a bailiff's visit, a raft of CCJs and the culprit's family being sold into slavery.

You got lucky then, our local supermarket had a couple of marshalls that were absolutely hopeless. We parked and then one came up to us to point us to the space we'd just parked in (and the engine was off by this point) then put his hand up to tell us to stop reversing:rotfl: The other one was just stood further up watching cars drive past. I nearly went to customer services and offered my services as the two they had were clearly incompetant and couldn't even use hand signals yet alone the red glowsticks they'd got.

Last I heard the AA dealt wtih motorist issues but just like unions they only deal with high publicity things that gets them lots of attention.

Hmm.. now theres a thought though.. with my insider knowledge of the parking industry maybe I should setup a motorist defence group...
