Well as some of you know i was declared unfit for work by my dr and signed on the ESA.
i was told last week that my process will be completed by December 21st and money would be in the account same week.
i have been checking my account all night / early hours of the morning for absolutely nothing to show. i called the the number and spoke to someone who said your claim has been processed but your getting nothing until the 28th and your other payment later. as your sick line only went up to the 16th of the month.
i explained i was on the phone last week checking where to send paper work and that the woman made a note on the system there is a 2nd sick line to come and it may be delayed due to Christmas post. but my payment would be fine.
the guy i spoke to said no we had not had anything so your not entitled to any other money from us as you have not sent out a 2nd sick line. i told him to listen to what i am saying and that i sent a 2nd sick line out last week and it was dated from 12th Dec - 2nd Jan and he said well phone back after 12 as we dont get post until 11and you can check then if we have had it arrive. other wise get a copy from your gp and send it in again.
told him how can i get a copy when the dr's is closed or i wont be able to get an appointment today because it will be so busy due to closing for Christmas , his reply was that's your problem nothing we can do , anything else i can help you with if not then good bye.

They wont do anything without a sick note I used to fax them cause I had a couple that got there late. Not long now then you can fill out a esa50 and maybe have a medical then no more sick notes needed0

Well i am not able to send a fax to them as my nearest JC is over 21 miles from me and will cost nearly £10 by bus which i have £0 for so unable to travel.
and family are not able to help ( brothers , sisters dont live local , and the others do not care ) and parents are unable to help as it is.
if you include the 1st sick line from my Dr i will have only been signed unfit for work for 6 weeks .
i spoke to the person i am currently seeing for help and he told me while i am seeing him i will continue to be signed off for work , BUT the way i am progressing i should not have to continue to much longer on the sick.0 -
In general, the DWP postal system is a complete mess, it can take up to several weeks for an incoming letter to bounce around to the correct department.
Always send everything early.
Always keep a photocopy, don't send originals if required, and send it via some tracked means.
It's a lot better if you can say 'and you got it on 10:23 AM on the 18th, signed for by a Mr B smith', than 'I really posted it, honest'.
At best it takes around a week for them to notice post.
It can be considerably longer.
Good luck.0 -
well on the paperwork i have it states in bold lettering copies or photocopies will not be accepted must send all original paperwork .
the guy could have spoken to me far better than he did.
i will phone them shortly to see if it arrived in today's mail ( i doubt it though )
though when i called my Dr's surgery and spoke to the receptionist and said can i have a duplicate sick line please , right away she said let me guess the benefits have said its not arrived or lost in post.0 -

You have a computer - download an app that you can send faxes from.
When did you submit your claim?0 -

Why would you need to travel to the JCP to send a fax?0 -

If you're in England or wales, they're closed until 29th (open on 28th if you're in Scotland)
