QUIDCO.... a quick question ??

Hopoe this is the right board for this, if not can a mod kindly move it for me? Thanks.;)

Last night i was checking on the web for home insurance, and the best one i could find was from Barclays via Quidco, with cashback of £125.00.

So signed up, and paid for my Barclays Home Ins with Debit card for the full amount to commence on the 15th feb.

So my question is how long will it take the £125.00 to show up in my quidco?
Just checked and it's not there yet.

Any ideas??

If you look at the statistics on the right hand side of the Barclays Insurance page on Quidco it has an average tracking speed of 7 days.

Mine took exactly 7 days to show up as tracked so don't panic just yet.

Incidentally, I received my Barclays cashback in the January payout (took out the policy in November). It might be worth considering splitting home and contents insurance and getting two lots of cashback from two different companies! Worked for me.

I did the same yesterday, but for RAM for my PC. I only signed up then too, but still nothing in my account, hopefully I have done it properly. Any advise would be great?

Thought it may take upto 7 days, but like to check........;)

Have a 14 day cooling off period with Barclays when the paperwork arrives, so hopefully the money will be in quidco acc, by then.

If you search for the company you purchased from on Quidco, the statistics on average tracking and payment speed are listed on the right hand side of the page.

Best advice if you are worried about purchases not tracking is to clear cookies beforehand.

If the purchase doesn't show up after the average time quoted then you need to 'submit an enquiry' with Quidco who will chase it up with the merchant involved.

The money won't actually be in your Quidco account for a couple of months but, generally speaking, once the transaction has tracked you can be reasonably confident of payment eventually.

Has the barclays cashback finished in january or is it still ongoing i would like to get home insurance for my mum.?

My cashback with Barclays never tracked initially, but Quidco followed it up when I made an enquiry. Still waiting for cashback on a policy taken out in September. My cashback status says "sent to merchant". When it comes through it should be worth the wait.

Also waiting for cashback from Mobileshop for a mobile bought in September. Other things have paid up much quicker though.

barclays never apparently tracked on mine also, put in an enquiry 11 months ago, still showing as sent to merchant.

not the first of my larger amounts to not track properly....

My Barclays tracked and was paid no problems. well worth doing.

I used this on 30th November, tracked within the 14 days - cant remember when exactly and was paid out on 30th Jan. Cheapest house insurance deal we have ever had (plus I did DD over 12 months as they do not charge extra).

I went through Quidco on 5 January and it has still not tracked. I have sent an enquiry to Quidco but have not yet had a response.

I noted from Barclays website that you can order insurance up to 60 days in advance so I thought I'd order it then in case they reduced the cashback amount which was (and still is) an excellent £125. My insurance doesn't run out until the end of February so I am thinking of cancelling what they have sent me so far and trying it again as I don't want to be waiting for several months and getting stressed chasing them for £125 which might never turn up. It is important to me as I factored cashback into the equation when I took out the policy. It wasn't the cheapest quote, but with the cashback it was by a long way.

Quidco tracked fine with my computer until I got Talk Talk in the Summer and it's been hit and miss since then. I don't know if it's TalkTalk that's the problem or whether Quidco are slipping.
