the ECU unit was removed from the car
im no expert on honda but one has to ask why was this removed for starters or non starters in your case0 -
Removing the ECU is something that should only be done as a last resort and with the battery disconnected. If you remove the ECU with the battery still connected and powering it, there is no way of knowing what error handling it has programmed into it to recover when the power is reconnected. If the battery has been disconnected, then the ECU will not know the difference when its reconnected.
What was the job you done on the car? (for such a young car I'm surprised you needed to remove the ECU anyway). Ignition coils are funny bits of work too.. they can just go without being touched and that would stop a car from starting.
Without you giving us more details though, the best thing you can do is take it to a Honda dealer and get it plugged into their computer.0 -

How long did he charge the battery, enough to start the car which would take well over an hour or enough just to reprogramme it?
If it was the latter, what happens when you turn the key to start it, do you get a click or the dash/interior lights dim a little?0 -
dash interior lights a little dim & the green key flashes,& the clicking sound, so your recommending charging it over an hour?0

Depends on the charger. Battery probably 60Ah + Possibly even 100Ah..
Battery charger 4 Amps? 25 Hours +
8 Amps 12 hours+
But if its an intelligent charger it will start off at full the drop the charge as the battery charges.
Silver Calcium batteries need charging for at least 24 hours to get then to full capacity.
Put the headlights on and see if they are as bright as they should be. Leave them on for 5 minutes.
and see if they have dimmed.
Unless its a boost charger then 1 hour will put barely anything into the battery.
Or get a cheap volt meter and check teh voltage. Put the lights on for 5 minutes and check again.
A fully charged battery in good condition would drop barely anything. One guy on another forum did that
test 12.8 volts with everything off he thinks OK battery is OK. Puts the headlights on and tested again,
Less than 12 volts. After 5 minutes the battery was nearly down to 10.
One dead cell was killing the battery. But when under no load the voltage tested OK.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
If you turn the key, and the dash/interior lights go dim with no rotation of the starter motor then its the sign of the battery unable to manage the load drawn by the starter motor.
Solutions -
1) Jump start it
Using a set of jump leads. Upon connecting the jump leads, the interior light should be bright, all electronics will come to life and the engine & starter motor should turn over. If they are "cheap" leads, you may want to let the other car charge your car for a bit. Though if you have £30 to spend, i can recommend Halfords 25mm jump leads which will do up to a 3.0ltr diesel car.
2) Bump start it
Have the ignition on in the car, 2nd gear selected with the clutch pressed (down). Have friends push the car. When you think that you have reached enough forward speed, let the clutch up enabling 2nd gear. This will rotate the engine/alternator which should provide electrical supplies and the car should start.
3) Call the AA/RAC0 -
Did it work? Is it fixed?
I love a story with a happy ending?0 -

Your key is not disarming the immobiliser. For this reason it will need to be reprogrammed, to accept your key. Until that is done you will not be able to start the car, unless you have another key that the immobiliser recognises.0 -
This sounds like a Honda dealer job to me...0
