I bought from a market place seller and am very happy with them (checked pics on the how to spot a fake site).
I think that the marketplace is more regulated than ebay because it is working through amazon who will have to take some responsibility for what is sold

Did you buy from the guy who has a 100% feedback?0

I'm sure this is going to be a really silly question, but do any of the better quality headphones - like the Sennheisers mentioned in the OP - come with a volume control?
I currently use Sennheiser mx500s, which were pretty cheap, but have an in-line control for volume. I'm wondering if noise canceling ones will be noticeably different? I'm a commuter so noise canceling appeals, but I don't like to keep getting my ipod out to change volume.
Does the inclusion of an in-line volume control generally mean the sound quality is going to be worse? Sorry if these are really bad questions - I don't know a whole lot about headphones!0 -

The CX300's dont have one, although personally I don't mind that! I do find that they are very good at blocking out sound, so should be preferable for you if they are to be used in noisy environments
They'll take a bit of getting used to, but I now love these type of earphones and compared to 'normal' types they are fantastic. :T
Thoroughly recommended by me in any case

Just ordered some of these and thought they were a particular good price considering the brand. Much better than the rubbish ones that come as standard with an ipod!

I have a £30 voucher for amazon so which are the rolls royce of headphones for my ipod, dont mind adding a few £ to get a decent set.
Cheers,
Pete.
At the £30 - 40 price point i'd go for the shure E2C-N, available from Amazon for 35 notes. After a good rummage around the net I couldn't find 'em any cheaper (£42-45 most other places + delivery), and they are supposed to be a quality set. Free delivery too if you're willing to wait a while.
