Beware alot of fakes comming around!

Very good point, these are widely copied and as a result Ebay is full of fakes usually. Take a look at the link below if you are not sure how to tell (though bear in mind that since that was written the standard of some fakes seems to have improved so it's still not 100%)

Personally I'd avoid ebay and marketplace sellers for these and buy direct from Amazon as per this thread - there are cheaper sellers listed but for the saving it's not worth the risk. At under £16 these are a cracking deal anyway.

I bought these from Richer Sounds, £40 quid, 7/8 months ago, they are the dogs!! Even at that price. Get the right ear bud size (comes with 3 different rubber sizes), they will cutout almost all noise, and the bass (if you like bass) is unbelievable for the money. I left them in my gym bag the other week and had to use the original ipod headphones whilst washing the car the other weekend, it really mad eme realise how comfortable the sennheisers are compared the the ipods, the ipods were unbearable to wear after 30 minutes. My only bad point about the sennheisers and this is true of most in ear headphones that creat a sort of vacuum, is that when running they transmit the sound of your feet hitting the ground, or if you tapped the cable you can hear it in your ear. My way round this is to just attach a small clip (i used the one that i nicked from the mobile phone headset that i dont use anyway) and then clip them to your clothes.

Get the right fit, push them right in and you will soon forget they are there, the sound is amazing.

Another plus is the 2 year warranty on all parts, so if the cable breaks you can get them replaced. Comparable Sonys have been getting lots of bad press regarding the cables breaking down.

  • Are these compatible with a mobile phone - I am getting a Sony W810i and would like to purchase a pair of these for use with this phone?

You can get a Sony Ericsson to 3.5mm Adapter for about £4 on Ebay :).

I use them with my SE phone! :)

  • Not sure what the problem is here?

There are plenty of fakes available on E-bay and may be also via Amazon's marketplace. However when I ordered mine using the link above they were clearly available direct rfom Amazon by clicking the 'add to basket' - not sure why you even need to go into the markeplace section? Presumably Amazon hasn't yet decided to start selling fake goods and it's therefore a fairly safe bet?

Mine arrived today and they're great. The normal price is £40 in the shops (including Richer Sounds who are usually reasonable) and you wont come close to them with anything else out there for 15 quid.

Yes they are a lot cheaper in the marketplace but probably fakes, I bought from the Amazon store thanks for the tip.
