Thanks, the new car will be about 1-2 years old. I finished paying for my 4x4 over 9 years ago ( I've had it for 12)which has helped with the over payments, still haven't made a final decision on what to get.0 -
Amazing. I hope to be in your position in 5 1/2 years time0

It's difficult to resist sometimes, as stated in an earlier post, work mates told me to live for now, get the new car etc, with two months to go though one friend who owed roughly the same as me five years ago still has seven years left on his mortgage and say's that he wished he'd done the same as me.0 -

Thank you and I will. My other half couldn't understand why we were paying so much at first but, now the end is in sight she's planning to fill her wardrobe to overflowing ( she says she needs more little black dresses to go with the ones she already has) and is telling her work mates all about it.
Our mortgage was due to be paid off in 2027 that seems like an age away. so glad we have done this not just because we saved 15 years interest but it's going to allow us to do the things we want to do.
We are with the Nationwide and as we can see our mortgage online and our outstanding balance it helps to look how far we are ahead and what we have achieved when money gets tight ( which it has on more than one occasion) so stick at it!0
