Gamestation sale...grrr

Playing devil's advocate here, when you initially bought the game you were happy with the £19.99 price, otherwise you wouldn't have bought it. If you hadn't gone into Gamestation and noticed the drop you still would have been happy, so why all the fuss?
Gamestation are under no obligation whatsoever, both legally and morally, to take the game back so that you get the same game for £10 less. Putting it another way, if Gamestation increased the price to £24.99 would you exchange the game and pay £5 more?
A bit harsh I know, but welcome to the real world.

Tell them it is faulty it has a glitch and freezes, then ask for your money back and go to another branch to buy the same game cheaper.
I have done this before .
Well thats not only over stepping some ethical boundaries, but it would also be fraud!
There's a difference between money saving and blatantly screwing them out of money!0 -

Well... that would depend on their returns policy. If they do have a 10 day exchange policy in place as said, then this forms part of the contract and they are therefore obligued to offer it.
Although offering such policy isn't a legal requirement.0 -

Should I be cheeky and take it back and switch for the £9.98? Not sure if they even take pre-owned games back. Any ideas?
So come on then, what DID you do in the end? We're all dying to know!!0 -

Although offering such policy isn't a legal requirement.Gamestation reserves the right to refuse any unwanted return at the Manager's discretion.Gamestation are under no obligation whatsoever, both legally and morally, to take the game back so that you get the same game for £10 less.

Haven't had the chance to do anything yet, but I will take it back and see what happens.
I don't think that I am being unreasonable in taking the game back. I will still be spending £20.00 with them, will just get two games instead of one.
And no, I wouldn't offer to pay more money if I purchased and then the price increased. The mere notion is preposterous.0 -

Nor would anyone else, obviously. It is annoying when something comes down in price just after you've bought it.Has happened to most of us at some time or another. It is a gamble, but sometimes of course,we win cos the price goes back to normal.Swings and roundabouts.
My husband's philosphy is...........don't check!!0 -

Asking for a refund is fine, following the suggestion of the first post is out of order. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0
