Finally turned up today. Predictably the kitchen caddy was missing.
I will give them a call tomorrow but i don't expect to see it anytime soon

I got one of the Focus greenhouse things. It's well good for £12.49. I'm really looking forward to growing all sorts in it.0

Got my 2 compost bins and a caddy yesterday, 2 weeks after ordering them. Maybe they have caught up with the orders.
I think £22 ish.
Anyway, it doesn't look like you will have to wait a long time if you order them now, at least in Northamptonshire.“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -
My compost bin and caddy arrive today from recylenow. Ordered 5th Feb so it's taken just under 4 weeks.0

I know mini greenhouses are probably better but I have been using a normal large storage box (not clear, but translucent enough to let in light) upturned over my seedlings that are hardy enough to be outside, but need protection to get going and they are all doing great. I am trying to be as thrifty as I can, gardening wise, and am resisting buying anything that I can't, first of all, find an alternative for around the home. My compost bin has become a home for some rats, so I am taking all my scraps down the lottie until I can pluck up the wherewithall to have a go at removing the unwelcome squatters!DTD - Doing Tesco Daily - while I still have vouchers!0

I hope they know that they have only 28 days to collect the compost bin from your property otherwise it is classed as a free gift - providing you don't sign for it!You must contact them when it arrives to arrange for them to collect it within the 28 days period you just don't have to answer the door to them when they call to collect it and after 28 days you have a free gift.It is in the consumer laws somewhere for mail order items and that was introduced in 2002 I think - we've had a free wok and cooking spices since then.joey wrote:Have just cancelled my order with Recyclenow. You can cancel for any reason before delivery and as I've never received a confirmation of order from them there is no contract between us.
I ordered my bin at the beginning of Jan and have never had any confirmation despite several e-mails and phone calls and have just had enough of waiting.
Funnily enough the guy I spoke to said it is in the delivery process now and will be here within the next few days, he also said if I refuse delivery it will be left at my property and they will have to arrange to pick it up - they'll have a job with that as my front door leads straight onto the street so someone will just walk off with it.
Just hope they don't try to still take my money now..."As we know, there are known knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns; The ones we don't know we don't know."

I ordered my caddy on 19th December. Waited 4 weeks, giving them the benefit of the doubt because of Christmas, and should have received it by mid February at the latest. I hadn't, so on MOnday (26th) I phoned and left a message for the to call me. Didn't get a call, but on Wednesday received the caddy! Then, on Thursday, I received a phone message to say that a caddy had been dispatched and would be with me next week. So, I wait to compost my peelings for 2 months and now I'll be spoilt as to which one to use!Official DFW Nerd Club #20  Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts
