Cheapish compost bin and mini greenhouse

ah, but no free caddy! ;-)
They also seem to be more expensive in England. I entered a few old postcodes I had from living in England and then my scottish postcodes and there was a £2 difference. I guess that's only fair if these bins are subsidised considering the higher than average council tax up here! ;-)0 -
I already have a big compost bin, but my local council do the big 330 litre ones for £7 including delivery too. I'll let all my friends and family know!0

For anyone looking for a compost caddy I can recomend the lakeland one at £5. A simple green plastic bucket with a lid that holds a charcoal filter. It does work to contain the nasty niffs - and I think it holds 9 liters. Cuts down on the trips to the composter (also reducing amount of time you open the composter and let out precious heat) without making your kitchen smell.
Thanks for the pointer on the focus greenhouses. Already have one and considering getting another....
Kaz xJanuary '06 Grocery Challenge (4th - 31st) £320.Week 1 - £73.99 Week 2 £5.10 (so far
)
Someone burst my bubble and I lost the plot so no idea what I spent now...Other Jan :- Petrol £20.41, Clothes £8.50, House £3.
I will try to work it out.

Have just cancelled my order with Recyclenow.You can cancel for any reason before delivery and as I've never received a confirmation of order from them there is no contract between us.
I ordered my bin at the beginning of Jan and have never had any confirmation despite several e-mails and phone calls and have just had enough of waiting.
Funnily enough the guy I spoke to said it is in the delivery process now and will be here within the next few days, he also said if I refuse delivery it will be left at my property and they will have to arrange to pick it up - they'll have a job with that as my front door leads straight onto the street so someone will just walk off with it.
Just hope they don't try to still take my money now...0 -
I didn't bother with a compost caddy, I just got a small pedal bin from Tesco for £2.50 and use that. It's amazing how many of your scraps can go in - teabags, eggshells, tissues, veggie peelings etc... It soon fills up!0

Hey, me too but mine was about £5, I got a stainless steel one to match the decor!
I also keep a bucket outside to back door in the winter to empty it into as I can't be bothered to march across the lawn to the composter.0 -
