I'm thinking the way it could work would be you pay the travel agency say £100 for your flight. The travel agency keeps that money then they pay the airline £95 for the flight on their card. Therefore your money doesn't goto the airline directly.

But it is a long while since my airline ticketing days. Years ago the ticket had to be on the passengers card, except in unusual circumstances.
fingers crossed that with a little nudge, my refund will happen PDQ. Its almost £200 so its not peanuts we're talking about here.

I know what will happen if they dont give me my money back
Thanks HC. All sorts of stuff has been running through my mind this evening. Will wait and see what they say when i ring them in the morning.

Am particularly intrigued as to why I have to chase them for my refund with my reference number against it though

i spoke to the travel agents this morning, and have never had such a bad CS experience in all of my life

He accused me of being a bad customer because I asked him to let me get a word in edgeways! He wouldnt let me speak, tried telling me that I only had one refund and not two, still disputed the evidence on an email i forwarded him with the proof and was generally rude and obstructive.

I then had to chase the admin team for my refund, rather than them phoning me to say it had been done- apparently they "dont speak to people". I fired off an email to them saying how disappointed I was in them and their company, and quite frankly disgusted that they get away with treating their customers like that.

I had an email back saying my refund had been processed, but no hint of apology or anything. I am going off to look for their version of Uncle Phil.....

Thanks for keeping me sort of sane last night folks, much appreciated :)

I am in hysterics with this show.

I never admit to "real people" that I watch this show. I used to think it was all fake until I saw someone I used to work with on there
