Did some late night shopping at L'lhmton last night. Scanner was fine at 11.00pm but by 11.45pm wasnt working :( (Just kept says summat about seeking advice from a sales assistant)

Hello Kitty kids socks were reduced from £3.00 to £1.50. (though still said £3 on labels) Lots of reductions in the pyjama dept including Hello Kitty girls pyjamas down to £3.00 and lots of boys stuff reduced to £2 and £3.00. No whoopsied food to be seen anywhere other than real dregs that didnt really seem to be reduced :( Finally got some Mingles though! :j Poor staff there were struggling to cope with queues at the checkouts at 11.45pm!!

Hope you all have a great day!

Kymie, the t's computer systems go down for an update sometime after 10pm. It normally only lasts about 10 mins but can be up to 1hr. When the update is happening, the ss just says 'please contact a member of staff'. Once the update is completed they will start scanning prices properly again :)
:T to FK for telling me this a few mths ago when I had the same problem.

As for housework, I hoovered the upstairs and I'm about to cook dinner so I can go out this afternoon. Is that enough to do me the rest of this year as I'm shattered

Well they shouldn't scan at all if the sticker they have put over them is more than the actual price - it should say value too high then it dependson your SA.

Ahhh ok, I'll give it a go tomorrow, Thanks :T

That might just be the only option I have. It's not the same as being in the store and grabbing everything in sight then ditching what you don't want. Don't know if I'd end up paying more in store than online.

Ohhhh that sounds like a simple meal. Any chance you could post a quick recipe as I could do with using up some sausages and prepping some winter meals for the freezer? Thanks.

It has to be simple for me lol!

All it is - in order it goes in the slow cooker!

    3 x chopped potatoes (15p for 1.5kg bag thanks Mr T)
    1 tin value sweetcorn
8 x sausages browned in pan first
    1 chopped pepper
And about 1 pint beef stock and some gravy granules to thicken it.

Just cook on low about 6 - 8 hours.

You can vary anything here and you don't even need to brown the sausages so really good for using stuff up and I freeze in individual portions and microwave when I want them.

    HTH!

Sorry for turning the G&B Bar thread into a cookery one...just a brief diversion and revelant to the point of how to use all those whoopsie bargains!

Pork shoulder joint worked like a charm. I picked up two joints and walked out with them for free. Also turned out that there were a few other meat items reduced as well.

When I got home the pork was cut up into appropriately sized portions......and now I can't get much more in my freezer. Thank you so much to the spotter.

It got a bit messy last night, so some may have been lost in translation!

What were the weight and times and I'll do it now :D
