Still got 36 pages to catch up on!! Went to collect the laptop again from CO*ET today, just knew I'd get fobbed off again. and I did!! They blamed the suppliers today and after an hour of standing in there like a total idiot and getting more and more wound up, they offered a £50 discount on another one. Meaning that they'd give me one for £449 for £399. The one I ordered should have been £899 and was reduced to £399 so their's just no comparision. I realised after an hour I was just going to get nowhere and OH was starting to go a bit red in the face, so I told them to poke their laptop offer and their refund, in a very polite way I will add. I told them I'd take it up with HO but my parting shot as I was so fed up with staying calm was "By the way I'm also a secret shopper so as well as phoning HO I'll be making a full report" My OH was in hysterics, !!!!!! Why did I say it???:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Love it! :T:TMy husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
Oh bum, now the lights are flashing.
Hope you all stay in and stay safe & warm.
Wonder how many of us would brave it for a glitch though0 -
My street is an avenue of trees, they are twice as tall as the 2 storey properties and then some.:eek::eek: They do look lovely, but when it's like this the road ends up covered in branches and twigs..... but I do feel lucky in the house I have been in for the last 4 years......
I was told last year by a council workman that in the 1987 storm the tree directly in front of mine came down landing partly on my roof, and partly on my neighbours in the middle of the row!:eek::eek: again! I had wondered why there was a large space where a tree should have been! But at least now it means I don't have one in very close proximity, but I think there are at least 4 more trees that could just reach should any ever come down again!
Once again, stay safe everyone!0 -

there would need to be a fantastic glitch to tempt me out today cos it is so windy, grey and wet
going to spend the day trying to get dd bedding dry as we have an 'accident' last night...only wish i could consume more coffee to be honest as i'm not sure what will keep me awake
It's awful here - not sure that I want to go out today either. The wind and rain kept us all up last night and today the rain has been running in rivers down the windows at the front of the house .
As for caffeine - did you manage to get any of the Lucozade shots? One of those would do the job0 -

In my area there are two types of packaging with the same bar code.
One is light blue and scanned at 50p in a local small store. The other is darker blue with a red band across the top and scanned at 1p in a local extra. This may be just coincidence however and rather than a packaging thing it might be a store thing (if that makes sense):)
i've bought both at 1p in cl33thorpes & scu%th%rpe so don't think it is the packagingBaby meerkat...born 9.10am 31/1/12 - now a fully fledged monster meerkat.
