For dinner tonight, we are having scottish salmon fillets, lightly steamed in homemade butter. With a leeks, 5p, carrots 20p for the huge bag, sprouts, frozen leftovers from christmas dinner and finest mash in buttermilk, whoopsied 35p.

Kids back at school tomorrow so i haventaken the step of refusing to buy carton drinks and have done em all squash in a flask. So heres to saving money and day 1 of myself and OH not smoking.
Please don't judge me. you couldn't handle half of what I've been through.

    Fantastic! I approve ;)

Love to hear how folks have created wholesome meals for pennies.

    Well done you :T

Thank you. If I could find the meat very cheap all the time that would be great.
My problem is my nearest Mr T's is 12 mins drive, so if I make a special journey to go 'whoopsie' hunting it uses petrol. Unless I find a lot it isn't worth it.

    Giving up smoking:T

    Hope everyone spurs you on!

I never buy carton drinks either. Can't beat high juice diluted in a recycled plastic bottle!!!

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

They trouted me with 4p mens items.

Maybe it was too cheap I'm not sure, the lady said today that this week they had been told it's ok to sell the little items for pennies as they were clearance but not the big things, and it's "manager's discretion" too which doesn't really help us.

I suppose it's no fun if it's too easy is it! Well, maybe!;)
