We have a pot belly wood burner. I use today's equivalent to blacklead to polish it but it burns off. I can't get it back to the "blackness" it used to be when we bought it about 12 years ago. How do you keep yours so black? Thanks.

we've never had to polish it. We bought it about 2 years ago, I don't know what paint it is but it is good.

it was expensive £1200 but considering it was almost that to get the oil tank filled, we're quids in:j
