Evening everyone, not posted much on this thread but I do read it everyday.
Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and Best wishes for 2012.

Thank you to everyone for posting about glitches and cheap items.
Recently found some items on clipstrips, demister pads/iron cleaning cloths/toliet rolls/jewel air freshners. Also managed to get some of the trays a while back and a 75p tent lol.
I would not have even thought about trying to find out the price if it was not for you guys. (scanners have either been removed or don't work in the shops in my area)
My OH could not believe that some items were scanning that cheap until I showed him.

Thanks again and may 2012 bring plenty of glitches for us all.

You can make Panir cheese with full fat milk. Bring 2L of full fat milk to a rolling boil then remove from heat then slowly add 4 or 5 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice whilst gently moving a wooden spoon through the milk in one direction. It will begin to separate. Cover the pan and leave to settle for 2hr or 1/2hr if you are in a hurry. Drain off the whey using a colander lined with a cheese cloth or a piece of muslin. Gather the four corners of the cheese cloth, tie together to form a bag and leave it to drip into a bowl for 3 hrs. Cheese to be eaten or stored in the fridge for 3 to 4 days.

    Never tried it myself though.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.

Whilst getting tea on the go I was thinking about 2011. It was good in some ways and bad in others.

Firstly the sad part was having my 11 year old boxer put to sleep - it's always so distressing when that dreaded time arrives but one I keep putting myself through. The pleasure they give you throughout their lives far outweighs the upset at the end though.

The good times were Mr T's glitches and there was so many last year. The best I think was all the free food (or being paid to take it away) with the DTD and when they had a clothing sale and I bought about 20 t-shirts which only worked out at £1 each because of the discounts.

We also had 2 fantastic holidays last year thanks to Mr T. The first holiday we had our free flights through AirMiles to Las Vegas where we did a fly drive around Nevada and California in a red mustang convertible (unfortunately we had to pay for the car and hotels, but the free flights were a great help). I also won about £750 in Vegas as I hit it lucky on the slots so that went a long way towards paying for the rest of the holiday.

Our second holiday was an amazing Alaskan cruise all paid for my Mr T thanks to CC.

I realise how lucky I was to have 2 fabulous holidays in one year as some people can't afford a holiday at all, but I wouldn't have been able to afford these holidays without Mr T, so I am grateful to him for giving me some good memories that will last a lifetime.

Our holidays this year will be a bit more down to earth as Mr T has clamped down on people accumulating too many CC points and put an end to my fun in that department.

Your holidays sound fab, travel is one thing I do spend a lot of pennies on!

If you loved the Alaska cruise you would probably like the one I did this year, from London to New York via The Faroe Isles, Iceland and Greenland. :)

    Woah! I'm jealous!!!!

And I covet your wood burner!! Awesome.

thanks, i love it but it is a lot of work. it does our hot water and heating we have nothing else.

we used to have oil but at over a £1000 to fill it at least twice a year we couldn't afford it.

I live on a farm so we have a plentiful supply of wood
