Got to the hotel half an hour ago as we stopped at a couple of T's on route. Managed to find some phones in one store me and OH did 1 set each as there were two SEL'd in different places. I got trouted as between paying and going to CS the SEL I got mind from had been changed. Duty manager offered refund or to sell them at the price I saw them at. Couldn't be bothered to argue and OH had a goldie so no quibbles taking it back to another store half an hour later. Wish we'd just bought 2 sets now!

Found chuggingtons but now scanning at over 12 quid. Found the screenies but full price on those too. Didn't check meats as nowhere near a freezer for a couple of days.

Oh the hotel upgraded us again (they always do now) but this time to an executive suite....its well posh! :)

Off to Prezzo later for dinner.

Hotel and Prezzo both courtesy of Tesco of course........Thank you Philip :)

Big tip for those making butter:

Last night I used room temperature cream and a cold bowl (as recommended) and the results were really quick.

Last night though I left a bowl full of cream in the bowl covered as I was too pooped to process another batch.
I have just got the cold cream and bowl out of the fridge to process but it ain't separating. Will have to let it warm up a tad and put in a cold bowl before I proceed.

In other words, room temp cream and cold bowl WORKS!!!

Thought it might save a few of you lot thinking that it doesn't work.
Just wait for the chill to leave the cream before you start.

    :)

Gonna do the dishes and go back to it after...

I had a wasted trip to Tesco as very few whoopsies to be had. They had loads of the Christmas pourable creams which had originally been any 2 for £3 and were reduced to 23p each. I bought 4 of the Caramel Cream ones as they also had brandy in. I was hoping that they would glitch at the checkout and I'd get an extra discount but no such luck. Anyway I've got until 4th Jan to use up 4 pots of cream or, if I feel inclined, I'm sure it would make nice ice cream, although I've never made my own before.

Tesco's was absolutely dead so I don't know what happened to all the reductions, unless they'd reduced everything in the morning. The roads were also quiet so I imagine a lot of people were staying at home nursing a hangover.
