I'd ask which one your chum is but I doubt you'd tell me! There's a jumped up little twerp in knag who had a right go at some woman about selection boxes a few weeks ago. Seems to be some sort of manager wannabe but seems he has a chip on his shoulder.

So the Nasty Nick - do tell as those are my local stores. I've a fair idea which store he may be at as one particular store is terrible for making up lies to get out of DTDs. C'water tried to do me out of a DTD months ago saying the label was for something different. I asked to see the label and pointed out the description matched to which they said the barcode didn't. Funny, when I re-checked the barcodes did match.

There are a few like that up there but my friend isn't one of them, she's new to that area so hasn't been infected yet, but she's of the opinion that if you've been charged wrong then they should get whats due to them as per company policy but hates the fact that they all now have to go through a duty manager
Nasty Nick is called Nick but not sure which store he went to, only know he was moving because there's a very nice lady who does one of the sections (don't want to get anyone in trouble so don't want to say what dept she's in) and I've got quite friendly with her so was telling her the next day about him and she told me he was going to one of those stores and that a lot of the staff there were happy that he was going because he's caused so much upset with the custormers as well as some of the staff
I think the only one's he will be missed by is the trouts :rotfl:

As for c0nnswat3r they have always been this way, they're the ones that you HAVE to follow when trying to get DTD as they will do anything to make sure that you don't but saying that they did give me a refund on part of my golden DTD reciept that Kn0cknag0n3y wouldn't so not all bad even if they wanted to keep the reciept but told them I needed it because there were other Xmas gifts on there :)

  • With most of the other nurses they end up putting a butterfly in the vien in my hand and get bloods that way.
I agree with the canulas, when I was last in the hospital with appendix they had to resite them every day for my IVs ended up like a dalmation, in the end they had to go to the kids ward at the Royal (different building from were I was) to get some 'magic' cream :D to numb the area because I was jumping every time they tried to go in with the needle, I even told then to used the butterflies and attach the canula onto it but they were student in their final year and had to site a normal canula in a patient to get that credit .
In the end (day 7 of my kidnapping) I told them if they couldn't get it sited the next time they tried I wanted to have oral meds because I wasn't going through that again. Luckily my numbers had dropped again and they sited the canula easily using 'magic' cream (very nice country doc) and next day said I'd be going home and on oral meds if bloods that day came back better

Lol! I went through buckets of magic cream, I was petrified when they first suggested not using it anymore! I've had awful experiences having my bloods taken and canulas. One doctor snapped the needle off the butterfly, stuck it in my arm and let the blood drip into the bottle (this was when I was about 10) TMI?? :p Then another time when I was 13 I had a canula in my arm (veins on backs of my hand are too small so they can't even get it in :() the vein completely shut down and I had lumps all down my arm. The nurse refused to give up and take it out, I was screaming as they were trying to flush it through! Nightmare! And the dalmation effect is even worse when you're on warfarin, I came out of hosp 3 weeks ago and my bruises are only just fading! That sounds awful having the canula resited so often and them refusing to use a butterfly!!! :( Let's hope your appendix is behaving itself! :)

i think it is unfare that you give until the night before to make a prediction, if i were to be bidding on this as every regular ebayer knows. the later the better. most action is in the last moments of an auction. ie the bid may well get to £15 by thursday so id have been better not guessing till then. so could you make the deadline for guesses 48hrs before the finish.
can you tell ive been on the *iss xxx;)

PS I TRIED THE J2O no joy tonight

Actually, I think you're right - I was unsure what cut off to have, but had to have one. We'll see what Happy sez tomorrow and go with his decision

Happy, what day/time should the cut-off be for making guesses on you shoes' winning bid?

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

Thanks hun, I hope one day she does realise that I am only doing it to help her, at the moment being 6 yrs old she just sees me as a pain ....literally!! It is really difficult not knowing if I have actually done some damage to a tendon or pulled her hamstring or whether the little madam has worked out by crying and screaming of pain means mummy won't do it for a few days

I would suggest and very much hope it's the second of the 2! I found some very good excuses and lupholes to guilt trip my mum:o Awful now when I say it but kids will be kids! I was about 7 when I started physio and I hate it to this day so I think it's only logical a child would try and play on your heartstrings so they don't have to be put through their paces :p Unfair but logical!! Hydrotherapy was the only one I ever enjoyed :D Mainly because the pool is like a giant bath and I got to splash around in it and play with inflatables!

    Hope its a good en.
My step dads birthday on NYE too, first one without his parents around (more specifically his mum) so hoping he will be ok.

Hope dtd_crazy's daughter gets/feels better soon, try not to feel too bad.
If it helps when I shattered my wrist I was pulled up off the floor using that wrist and then my mum jiggled it about told me it was a sprain and stuck a tubey grip on it, so you aren't the only one *hugs*

Fingers are crossed for you Sunshine hun x

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)
