  • So what we know is:
5 years ago some Bernard Matthews staff mistreated some turkeys.
Wendy Valentine thinks she had her car bugged by someone at Bernard Matthews, but to date this hasn't been proven in court.

Not really much of a news story so far.

I'm sure Bernard would be basting in his grave if he knew of this.
  • So the bugging hasn't been proved so its okay to kick a few turkeys about, albeit five years ago? How can people dismiss or justify such vile and disgusting treatment? If they were puppies there would be no end of people condeming them :( And Mr Mathews wants basting for not having better control over his business when he was in charge ( and living, obviously)

No five years ago it was unacceptable. However it was dealt with and the people responsible were punished. I don't see why this should still be held over them today. I also don't see the relevance to the bugging. This whole thread is ridiculous

Like Goater said, the abuse was sorted out 5 years ago, and the bugging is a seperate issue, which hasn't been proven yet, but the OP of the thread wasn't about bugging, it was a link to five year old footage saying what disgusting behaviour it was, and making out that it was new footage.

show me where from 2 words [disgusting behaviour] and a link you in decided i said it was new footage ???
sorry having computer issues , the video shows staff using live turkeys as base balls .i believe it was taken undercover by hillside animal sanctuary [not 100% sure] who are now taking BM to court over car bugging .

Your second post actually, you haven't caviated it that the footage is five years old and it gives the impression that the footage is new.

Then your third post, responding to someone saying that the incident was five years ago was:
no ive just had an email with the link from hillside sanctuary

Given the main theme of your post is about the footage, and not the bugging, it's easy to see really.

Since your posts are quoted by others, a pointless gesture perhaps?

It's a toys out of pram moment. Instead of putting their hands up and admitting they made a mistake some people would rather the dramatic gesture even if pointless.
