Don't forget to give 30 days notice to your network provider
yes you can just put a pay and go Sim in your phone when contract is finished
you could just ask them to make your contract Sim into a Payandgo when you give notice to them if you want to stay with the same provider
if you want to put a different Sim in your phone you will have to make sure the phone is Unlocked to any network.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -
Remember if you are changing providers you can keep your number by asking the current one for a PAC code. When you use this to transfer your number to a new provider it will automatically cancel your contract.0

Shop around for the best deal for PAYG. There are no reasons to stay with the same provider except signal coverage and/or a phone locked to the network. Even if it is you can unlock it for free of for a small charge and use on any network.
If you post your airtime requirements you are likely to get some advice here.0
