Know how mr el is a great cook ? Well he made a delicious lasagne, there is a downside to this however, as when he makes lasagne he makes to much so we had lasagne for dinner last night and tonight and tomorrow and even on Thursday. Sigh, and from memory pasta doesn't freeze well, so we're stuck to eating it 4 days in a row

at least you don't have to think about whats for tea0

This is very true taxi, and it is lovely, but 4 nights in a row is gonna prove depressing I reckon0

Just had a look at the bank accounts an noticed there is £70 extra there ... Which was exciting until I remembered January is a 5 week month and I need to find an extra weeks food, diesel and work money, and have to get hubby to his two nights out
Ach well the £70 is gonna help pay for something I spose
I think I'm also gonna try budgeting 4.5 weeks every month in pay day so that the 5 week months are covered and the other two weeks diesel and food money can be used for when we go camping etc
Now to try and remember this every month0 -
What size is your house ? Cause £70 seems like a dream figure to me
3 bed semi .... rural Scotland
What's yours?I remembered January is a 5 week month and I need to find an extra weeks food, diesel and work money, and have to get hubby to his two nights out

*sigh* - I hate this time of year.
We're paid early in December so Nov-Dec pay is only 3 weeks but we're then paid early in Jan too (otherwise Dec-Jan would be 6 weeks:eek:) which means that both Dec-Jan and Jan-Feb are going to be 5 weekers!:eek:
Most of my paydays are 4+ weeks as paid last working day - it's the full 5 week ones that kill me ..... it'll be March before I'm sorted!:o
Thinking of either :
a) not touching Dec's early pay & transferring it to a savings account & moving back at normal pay time - bit worried about this in case I either forget (unlikely;)) or internet / online banking goes down (banking was off all weekend & internet plays up if weather's bad:() or
b) paying all the pots early when Dec's pay goes in & trying to put some emergency money somewhere
Ohhh what to do!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)
2016 Sell: £125/£250

2 bed detatched central belt ( but at the edge of town) Scotland ( here we could be neighbours
)
It is a quandary with the whole wage thing, I get paid at the end of November then middle of december then end of January so will have a 6 week ( or so ) month,
I think I'll be doing your plan b) as that one at least ensures the bills are paid
Will need to try and remember to budget for 4.5 weeks per month from now on though0 -
So it's pay day today, wages in and wages out as usual,
Sadly there wasn't any money to make any debt repayments from my wages this month, but I have managed to put the money by for speakers club and £30 for hubby's Xmas night out
And the money I had to take for paying a bill from
The holiday account has been repayed
So I'm back on the hamster wheel till the middle of next month when hopefully I will be able to pay some more debt off
What's kinda concerning though is that this wage I had 22.5 hours overtime and yet I still didn't make enough to pay any off our debt0 -
I'm filling out my I.L.A application just now and I am required to send three wage slips in, have been having a wee nosey at the wage slips in front of me, I did 25 hours overtime last month and 22.5 hours overtime this month, however I only earned £10 more last month, which would indicate that after tax and national insurance I earn £4 an hour ... That's very sobering0
