I just came across a flaw in the Tesco Mobile Extra Tariff that maybe of interest to you.

When purchasing an Extra Tariff Sim card, all it states is that one must top-up at least £15 a month in order to receive the discount but it doesn’t state obviously and directly that one must first register for the Extra Tariff even though, I purchased an Extra Tariff sim card. If one doesn’t register Tesco charges the Standard Tariff which is a separate product.

I called them up after a month as I wondered why my credit went down faster than expected and they refunded £19 (within 20min and a 5min phone call) without the need to even threaten them with Trading Standards and The Advertising Standards Agency.

I’m sure there are many more people out there who are in the same situation as me and are entitled to a refund.
