BT Infinity question - help please!!

Hi we have just transferred to BT infinity as we were having serious problems with our broadband. The engineer came and installed it and made sure it was working on laptops, ipods, mobiles etc.
However we are now wanting it to work on our home computer - which is upstairs. I would assume it would be to far to run an ethernet(?) cable so was wondering if anyone could advise what we require to enable our computer to become wireless also?? Is this possible?
I'm afraid hubby n me not technical minded and would appreciate any help for our cheapest but best option
TIA

Yes you can run an ethernet cable, but a pair of Homeplugs woud be te better option.
Or you can install a PCI wireless card or USB wireless adapter in the PC.No free lunch, and no free laptop
