Consumer Focus response to MSE posts on E.On 'Spring review' DD scheme
Is anyone aware of any developments with this issue, as alas I'm now sitting on a fresh, unresolved issue for E.ON's Spring Review direct debit calculations from this year (May 2012)?
As an aside, there's also been talk of a flood at E.ON's data centre in May, a key member of E.ON's staff responsible for the billing system leaving his post shortly afterwards and all the while nothing of any real value or detail appearing to have come out of the so-called Reset Review process for existing E.ON customers, in terms of how their direct debits were going to be calculated for the Spring Review just passed or how the proposed direct debit changes from Spring 2013 would work in practice.
According to Ofgem this afternoon, they have not yet taken a decision as to whether they will formally investigate the matter, since it was passed to them by Consumer Focus.
Therefore, per this previous post, Ofgem are apparently still able to receive submissions of evidence on this matter but, at the time of writing, they were unable to confirm for how much longer this would be. Will update should I hear anything further on that.
One for DirectDebacle..... do you know if Mark Atherton from the Times is still keeping an eye on this situation?
