Using a Wireless AV Video Sender System

I have sky multi room upstairs and would like it in the kids bedroom. Would prefer to just have the 'free' channels for them but after contacting Sky I was told it would be £145 for their 'freesat'.

I have been looking at buying a wireless av video sender but wanted some comments on how good/bad they are.

Thanks in advance

(and I have no idea why my writing has turned into bold but it wont let me change it :o )

  • They are not as good as hard wired as they are prone to some interference. Also they will only be able to watch what you are watching on the main box. Do they have an xbox or laptop etc that they would be able to watch skygo on?
  • They are only young so dont have an xbox yet. It will be connected to the box in my room (multiroom) so it doesnt matter that it will be the same. Thanks for you reply
  • I've had a cheap (£29) one from Argos for several years now in my stone walled cottage and it works perfectly from downstairs to upstairs.

My mother also had the identical kit for several years in her bungalow - again trouble free.

Only problem is it isn't in HD.

I've just run a HDMI cable to my bedroom through the cavity with an active splitter, and used IR repeaters so I can use the remote. HD goodness :)
