Anyone got Costco membership?

We recently signed up for individual membership which is £30 including VAT. We each have a card, which you have to show when you enter, you need your card when you pay (just like at Matalan) and the security guard checks your receipt when you leave (does at our Birmingham Branch anyway).
I think it was worth it. There are lots of cheap items, food, clothes, electrical, books. You do have to check the prices carefully, as a lot of them have the price excluding VAT in big lettering, then the actual price including VAT is at the bottom (some items obviously aren't vatable).
The opening hours are different, depending on if you have a trade or individual card. We signed up at a Kiosk in our local shopping centre, paid the fee, filled in the form and then went along to the store the next day to get our cards done. Hubby works for DHL, the woman who signed us up was happy with that and we didn't need to provide any work documentation at all.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -

Costco and Makro often sell items at very reasonable prices, and in some instances these may be suitable for reselling on ebay, so that could an ebay related topic.0 -
I have my daughter as my partner as hubby doesn't like shopping. Saves her the membership fee.:hello:0

We are a family of 6 and have a Costco card, It is worth its weight in cold as every 3 months or so we go and buy all the basics in bulk (washing powder, tinned tomatoes, baked beans, rice, baby wipes, etc etc) and spend about £300.Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.
£117/ £3951.670 -
If any Costo members ever go over to the USA, you should take your membership card with you.
It will be accepted in any branch over there and they also have petrol stations at their locations and the fuel is normally cheaper then any of the local gas stations.
I've just returned from florida and stocked up on many items (such as Duracell AAA batteries at $7.49/£5 for 24). If you are staying in a self catering villa then you could probably save a fair bit by doing a bulk shop.0 -
