Halifax ISA Transfer incompetance

Both my wife and I recently tried to open Halifax fixed rate ISA's to be funded by a transfer from a matured M & S ISA.

After about a week we had a letter from the halifax confirming account opening but saying they were awaiting funds from M & S.

After a further 3 weeks they denied having received both of our transfer forms - despite them being sent separately in the Halifax provided prepaid envelopes.

Decided not to proceed as don't want to deal with a company whose admin is clearly very poor.

I've transferred into Halifax 3 times in 5 years and never had a problem! Weird.

I've transferred in and out a couple of times with no problems at all.

I have found incompetence in banks without having to tranfer money, for instance, I received someone else's interest rate (I did return it and bank told me I was honest) and somebody else got mine ... also bank detail entered incorrectly etc... these were minor things.
