Hey there guys,
i have been browsing this thread for ages but havnt posted yet!
Took the majority vote and did my first car boot sale at dundrum last Sunday, had a great days craic and lifted £70 on regular household items, we no longer needed!
We placed ourselves up the top end of the GAA field which seemed to be a good little hotspot, as the square at the bottom smelt like seawead and got so blowy that peoples stuff were blowing everywhere, also there were so many stalls in one area people found it hard to look at everyone, wheres up the top end they could stroll past at their own pace, so would def recommend setting up on the top end path!
Does anyone know if millisle is on today?0 -

Hi there,
I'm moving house very soon and thought that I might unload some of my tat / treasure in the boot sale at Crumlin Road in Belfast.
I'm interested in what you all think about taking clothes to the boot sale. Have you any experience in this - What I mean is do they sell well or should I just bring to the charity shop? Also what's the best way to display / price them up.
I know this depends on the quality of the items. I'm ashamed to say that some things still have the tags on - things that were bought in sales or for holidays and never worn.
Also have bits and pieces from around the house that i've had boxed up since previous house moves.
Any advice from car boot die hards would be appreciated!!:money:

I've only been to one car boot sale about a month ago at Dunsilly Antrim. We had a lot of household stuff some my mum gave us like curtains hardly used, candles, pics, books, etc. My sis and me laughed at my mum when she gave us these net curtains from the 70's still in packet.........we laughed even harder when they were the 1st thing to sell.
I had couple of bits of clothes that sold but others did not. Some ppl had theres displayed on rail. I thought dvd's would sell but they did not I think cause so many ppl were selling them and u can download now.
There were ppl that really tried to get u down in price- on some occassions we just said no. I def think its a good way to get rid of stuff u don't want and to be honest we got our eyes opened to things ppl were buying. I would try selling your stuff and if u don't then take to charity shop. We made over £90. Its a bit of craic too but an early start.0 -
