We were at the Crumlin rd one again there on Sunday, made £60 this week, there was not as many buyers as the week before. But its better than nothing ! lol Lots more cars though, it was queued right up past Ardoyne roundabout at one point!
This Sun forecast so far is rain, so im going to go to our local one in Whiteabbey on Sat morning as the forecast is good for Sat. Don't want to drive too far as just wasting petrol then iykwim?
Anyone been to any in Whiteabbey area lately, there are a few.Norn Iron club member - 2650 -

Hi, There is one in Donard Park in Newcastle on a Saturday morning - gates open around eight but best to be there before that as there is usually quite a queue to get in. If the weather is good they usually have a really good turn out. I went last year and done well at it.If my post helps you, please click the 'thanks' button. :T0

Went to Dunsilly on saturday morning, got there about 7:45 and the field was about half full. Good turnout, not so good if like me you have hayfever, boy did I suffer!
Crumlin Road on Sunday morning again, well the car was still packed, so thought we might as well. Did better than Dunsilly and stayed until about 2.
I would definately recommend Crumlin Road over Dunsilly, especially now that they have started saturdays. Althought, that said, Dunsilly seems to be better for household articles.
Thats is us, for the time being (famous last words). Might try again in September. Must say that I was dreading it last sunday (our 1st one), but I actually enjoyed it, we had a giggle. So for anyone out there thinking they couldn't do it, give it a bash. Clear out your wardrobes and loft, pack a lunch, go to one far enough away, so that no-one knows you, and go with the flow. And here is the clincher, we cleared almost £300 in 3 visits, for very little effort!0 -
What time is the Crumlin rd one on a Sat? (same as Sun?)
We went to the one in St James church in Whiteabbey on sat, cleared £50, it wasnt that busy so it was good for the people there. I still have lots of stuff to get rid off so will get going for weeks yet lol
I didnt go on Sunday to the Crumlin Rd as the forecast wasnt good, had a lie in instead and woke to sunshine...typical :rotfl:Norn Iron club member - 2650 -
Funny Jamie, we had a look at the forecast too, but I find that the bbc weather map online is much more accurate.
To be honest I'm not sure on the timings for saturdays for the Crumlin road , if anyone else knows, i'd like to know as well for future ref.
You seem to be car-booting across the universe too, been doing it long?0 -
Been doing it about 3-4 years but not every week, unlike this year lol, im getting some work done on the house so the car boot is my door fund lol Im amazed at the stuff I gather up in the house (a bit of a hoarder lol)
We used to go to the Jim Baker one in Templepatrick a lot, it was quite good, going to go back in a few weeks.
Its hit and miss, one week you can do well and the next not so well, just depends on the buyers. It all adds up at the end of the day!
I looked at the BBC weather for Belfast and it said rain for sunday, must have knew I was going to look :rotfl:Norn Iron club member - 2650 -
