Netgear Sky Broadband

Ive just ordered Sky Broadband - free monthly subscription and a one off £40 charge probably to cover for the cost of the router.
Sky said the router is a NETGEAR 108mbps ADSL 2+ router.
Expecting it through the post soon.
What is a good Wireless USB adaptor to purchase ? Sky were doing them for £23 each.
Im looking to purchase two, one for the laptop and 1 for a desktop.
Also is there anything i need to do to set the router up, to prevent any1 else connecting to my network ?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks.

It doesnt cost anything to smile, yet when it occurs its priceless.

The router is preconfigued and as supplied will only work on the Sky network.
There is nothing to set up. Just plug in and go.
Security is already set up.
Can't advise about Wireless adapters, I'm getting the Netgear one WG111T that Sky supply.
You may want to log into your router when you get it to check out your line stats.
Its: 192.168.0.1 Username admin ,password sky
Depending on where you intend to connect the router to your phone line you may find this useful.

Not exactly related and probably very obvious just not to me but the last post has made me think.... Does at least one machine have to be connected to a modem router via ethernet? Or can it just be attached to the phone line and any wirelessly enabled machines would be able to find it?0
