We've now done Christmas at the Birmingham hotel for the last 3 years.
This year, we're doing New Year too.
Come on people - £99 for 4 nights over Christmas; full board plus entertainment - WHAT do you want?
The Birmingham rooms are clean and the food is decent - not 5* but then you're paying £25/night full board over Christmas.
If the bingo/quizzes/disco aren't your thing then you are right in the centre of Birmingham with an unlimited choice of venues around the City. You also have "the sales" right outside the front of your hotel.
Some people don't have the ability to weigh up the value with these breaks and seem to expect the same standards as you'd get in a £1,000/night hotel.
Why not enjoy it for what it is and stop knocking it just for the sake of having a moan.0 -
Hi,
I've stayed at the Adelphi in Liverpool. It was truly dreadful.
However, I do accept that not all their hotels are bad.
Cheers,

Just got back from another great 4 night Christmas Break at Britannia Birmingham.
Looking forward to New Year now - 3 nights still available at £99 (£33/night full board).
I just noticed that they are doing stays during January at £34.50 per person per night B&B including a 2 HOUR FREE BAR !! (sadly not available on Fri/Sat nights though).
OR
£25 per person per night for Dinner, Bed & Breakfast with a free bottle of wine.
Why not take advantage of one of these really low rates to see for yourself that Britannia (Birmingham) isnt at all bad.0 -

I guess it's all down to the individual experience!:)
